Dedicating every yoga class I take to someone different brings me a little bit of love and happiness. I never plan who will be next, their face just pops up in my mind and I carry them with me throughout my practice. Sometimes the face that appears is a bully from grade school, sometimes it’s someone I’ve bullied or been rude to, sometimes it’s someone I don’t know anymore, sometimes it’s an ex, sometimes it’s a loved one, and other times it’s an anonymous stranger whose face I happen to remember. Whoever it may be, wherever they are, at that moment they are with me and my heart is theres. Namaste.
Have you ever dedicated a yoga practice to someone? If not, try it out! It doesnt have to be someone you are really close to. Any old person will do … even a teacher or a coworker. Positive energy!
